A few months ago I changed from Lexus and purchased a brand new BMW - 35k of my money
The car has been great - until now - and now I am finding out how terrible BMW service is
I bought the car from Vines of Gatwick, and yesterday the entire console failed - no navigation, no anything - just an engine and 4 wheels.
I immediately just called BMW. They said not our problem - call the dealer. So I called the dealer and they said - wait for it - we don't have a courtesy car, we cant fix it for 3 weeks, and we need your car for 2 days.
For someone who invested a huge amount of money on a brand new BMW that now has less than 2k miles on the clock - and is basically an inoperable pile of rubbish - I sincerely wish I has stayed with Lexus - my previous car.
If anyone is thinking of buying a BMW because they need great service as a busy exec do not do it, and never buy a car form Vines of Gatwick. If anything goes wrong, based on my experience - they will basically not give a damn.

A happier end to this - the problem has been fixed and they did provide a BMW mini for a couple of days while they repaired it.
