I have noticed over the years, that as the Claromentis Product Suite gets even larger and more comprehensive, it seems just as hard if not harder to actually sign a task off.
For example marketing – the functionality needed always is in the next release, just around the corner. And achieving that piece of marketing doesn’t need just that release, it needs the collateral, the case study, the prefect demonstration site, a fully briefed pre-sales team.
And then each of those sub tasks needs to be ranked against other possible tasks and sub tasks. And so time moves on, and the other requirement from the software surfaces in response to the beta testing client – so the marketing waits for the even later release, because it contains something which is apparently absolutely essential – even though just last week absolutely no-one had even thought about it – let alone really needed something that does it.
Maybe one day we will actually have what we need.
